Early in his career, he worked with Berchtold Holzbau Gmbh., a custom home corporation in Austria, where he learned the homebuilding process from the ground up -- from carpentry to brick masonry, and from cabinet making to house planning -- and earned his spurs as a Craftsman.
He brought from Austria, it's industry's progressive, green home-building ideas and home design to his native country and hometown of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Today, he is recognized as a true visionary whose commitment to excellence and personal control of the critical aspects of homebuilding details set him apart and has earned him the reputation of being a true artisan.
